Keep Your Makeup Fabulous, Girl! Even During A Hot Flash.

Well, hello beauties! The other day, I was talking to my dear friend Carmen about make-up and the conversation turned to hot flashes. For the past six months, I’ve been harassed by these bothersome things. Let me tell you, there is nothing worse than just finishing your make-up application, feeling fly, when a hot flash occurs!  Here you are, trying to look amazing, but the hot flash doesn’t want you to be great!  And without the proper tools, you may just end up looking like a hot mess.  So, I wanted to share with you today, some tips to keep your makeup fabulous, Girl!  Even during a hot flash!

To make this happen, you will need:

  1. Moisturizer.  Start with a great moisturizer, as it is the foundation for your makeup.  It should be sweat proof like Tula’s Hydrating Day and Night Cream.

  2. Primer.  I actually use two.  I’m a fan of Wet and Wild’s Photo Focus Matte Mat Primer.  It’s inexpensive, but works like a charm.  I put this on first; mainly focusing on under my eyes. After using the first primer, I spray a liquid primer from Skindinavia on top. The primers will fill and smooth skin.

  3. Foundation. MAC has a great waterproof foundation (Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation).

  4. Eyes. You’ll want to also use a waterproof Eyeliner and Mascara.  I prefer MAC brands for eyeliner (MAC Liquidlast Liner Point Black) and Better Than Sex for my mascara.  What you don’t want is black tears, when you’re sweating out your non-waterproof eye makeup

  5. Lipstick. Matte or Stains won’t smudge. I don’t wear anything but matte, but stains are wonderful also.

  6. Seal the Deal. I seal all my makeup with a finishing/setting spray.  I use Urban Decay’s All Nighter or Skindinavia’s Finishing spray.  Both are fantastic!

Don’t forget to carry blotting papers with you, to help you along should you get those intense flashes.  Ladies, this too shall pass!

Until next time, love and light!

Julie
