Happy New Year, lovelies! Today is my three year blog anniversary! I really can’t believe the time has passed so quickly. But I’m here, Stylish Paradox is still here!
January 1, 2016, I pressed the publish button and began this journey that has become something I absolutely love.
I am so grateful for 2018, as it brought more awareness to Stylist Paradox through an increased client base, brand ambassadorships, media features, new friendships, business partnerships and increased monetization.
But I have to admit, 2018 tested me on a level that I’d never experienced before. I wavered back and forth about quitting this thing on more occasions than I care to remember. Overthinking, self-doubt, feeling alone, also our country’s political climate and just plain ole life happening were all factors in some of my negative thoughts.
Last year began with an amazing offer in February that was bigger than anything that had come across my path. Not only would I be working with a very well known national brand, but the collaboration would include an all expenses paid trip with additional payment for my work and content. It was perfect, except for one thing.
This one thing just didn’t align with what I wanted to convey for my brand. And although I knew that declining the offer was the right thing to do, it marked my entire year with this crazy anticipation of the next offer I’d receive like this one, but this time it would be perfect for my brand. Summer came, fall passed, but the offer never came.
I realized at the tail end of this year, that I just wasn’t ready for this perfect offer. Because I believe God gives you what you need, in his time and for his edification. When I’m ready, he’ll give it to me – – in that perfect little package.
My heart and mind is open and ready for all the unexpected abundance and blessings that are coming my way this year. Yes, I’m speaking it into existence and you should too! God promises us that he is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. I also want to speak into the lives of each and everyone of you, abundance and blessings in 2019.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for coming along and staying with me on this journey! I’ve learned so much about you and myself. You all inspire me!
Until next time,
Julie
