Never Forget How Fabulous You Are! Take Two.

Red Jacket – Worthington by JC Penney // Statement Tee – Chico’s // Tulle Skirt – Target Style // Glitter Clutch and Shoes – Ross Dress for Less

Hey there, Stylistas!

I had some technical difficulties with this post last week, so I decided to share it again.  I hope it is a blessing to someone!

I was blessed to receive the statement tee in this post from a dear friend.  She is someone who gifted it to me and another dear friend of hers, after we helped her with a milestone birthday celebration.  I loved what the message on the shirt conveyed, and felt the need to write about it.  Thanks, gurl!!

The definition of self worth is, the sense of one’s own value or worth as a person; self-esteem; self-respect.

Many times in life, we find ourselves comparing our lives or successes to others around us.  Social media can have such an impact, right?

We may feel like we’re not good enough or our self-esteem may be in the gutter because of what someone may have told you about your intellect or appearance during your childhood or even recently.

We all should (me included), take into account the uniqueness of ourselves.  Our beauty, talents, intellect and other wonderful and not so wonderful qualities, make us who we are.  I’ve learned to embrace the dark skin that some folks had an issue with when I was a girl.  You can’t tell me nothing now!  Heck, my thighs are too big and my smile is crooked, but it’s beautiful!  Some things, I can change and there are other things I’ll never be able to.  And I’m okay with that.

We are all still evolving, growing.  Remember that, when you’re being your own worst critic.  Cut yourself some slack and look at all the things that make you special; the quirks that make you, YOU.  God’s creation.

So, when you wake up every morning, on great days and not so great days, say to yourself, never forget how fabulous you are.”  There will never be another you.

Until next time, peace and blessings!

I love y’all!

Julie
