Stylistas! Do you guys ever look around and you’re triggered by something you see… be it people wearing masks, the awkwardness of grocery store visits, empty streets and freeways that were ALWAYS congested and crowded and you say to yourself, “SNAP OUT OF IT?” This isn’t a dream. This is real life!
The good part is that storms always end. We’ve just got to weather this one, Sis. And each day, we get closer and closer to the end of this pandemic.
On my way to the office today, I listened to inspirational/gospel music to help me feel better as I walked into my workplace. It was a song by Kirk Franklin called HELLO FEAR that warmed and soothed my soul.
And here’s part of it:
“Hello Fear, before you sit down there’s something I need to explain. Since you’re here. I think I should tell you, since we last talked things have changed.
I knew I would see you, you have a hard time letting go. See these tears, take a good look cause, soon they won’t fall anymore…That seat that was yours now is taken. I’m no longer afraid see I’m better this way…my heart refuses to be your home, no longer your prisoner, today I remember, apart from you is where I belong.
Farewell, goodbye, so long.
Hello Grace, it feels like forever, I thought my chance with you was gone, see your face, it reminds me of mercy. Sorry fear, grace took your place.
Farewell, goodbye, so long…“
Hope these words give you strength today.
Comment below with a song that gives you comfort or joy. I’d love to hear from you.
Praying for all of us! Love you guys!
Until next time!
